This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information on this website (www.abohlegal.ca), on our booking page, and when you contact us. We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and our duty of confidentiality as lawyers.

3. Information We Collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, location, the other party's name, the type of legal problem, and your message.
• Online booking: your name, email address, the other party's name, the type of legal problem, your phone number if you choose a phone call, any note about a safe way to reach you, and the time you book.
• Email, phone, and text messages: what you send or tell us. Calls and texts to our office line may be recorded or transcribed.
• Website visits: our website host receives technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We also count visits with a tool that does not use cookies.

Until we confirm that we can act for you, please give us only what we need to check for conflicts of interest: your name, the other party's name, and the type of legal problem.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to reply to you, check for conflicts of interest, decide whether we can help, schedule appointments, and communicate with you about your case. We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for marketing without your consent.

5. Service Providers, Including Outside Canada

We use service providers to host this website, receive form messages, run our booking page, count website visits, and run our email, phone, text, and video meeting systems. Some of them are outside Canada, mainly in the United States, so your information may be collected, used, or stored there.

These providers may use your information only to provide their services to us. Information stored outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country, and its authorities may be able to access it. 6. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. Services you reach through links on this website, such as our booking page, may set their own cookies under their own policies.

7. How Long We Keep It

We keep inquiry information as long as we need it to reply, to check for conflicts of interest, and to meet our legal and professional duties. If we do not act for you, we keep only what we need for those purposes, and we protect it as confidential.

8. Security

We use reasonable security measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, change, or destruction.

9. Your Rights

Under PIPA, you may:

• ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and how we have used or shared it;
• ask us to correct an error or omission in it; and
• withdraw or change your consent, with reasonable notice, subject to our legal and professional duties.

10. Children's Privacy

This website is not aimed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their personal information through it.
